Details
2 pieces of large aluminium panel (with leather glued on) goes under the throttle quadrant and the center channel.
Today I started to test fit and install the pilot side.
The lower half went in perfectly. But the top half needed a little tweak. The front end sticks up too much and it interferes with the throttle quadrant’s top cover panel.
So I used my bench grinder to shave off a few millimeters on the top of the panel, then it fitted fine.
After fitting, the top pre-drilled rivnut holes no longer aligns with the throttle quadrant’s screw locations. So I drilled one new hole for rivnut. With that, the panel was installed with all screws successfully.
